Dr. Fiona Ng is plastic surgeon and team head at Kwong Wah Hospital since 2014. She is also the Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at The University of Hong Kong. She gained her MBBS from The University of Hong Kong in 2004 and obtained her Fellowship in 2012.
Dr. Ng’s dedication to advancing her field is evident through her extensive overseas clinical training, which includes specialized programs in supermicrosurgery with Dr. Takumi Yamamoto at the National Center of Global Health Medicine in Tokyo; the microsurgery/lymphoedema/microtia with Professor Fu-Chan Wei and Professor Chien-Tzung Chen at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei; the supermicrosurgery with Professor Joon-Pio Hong at the Asan Medical Center in Seoul; and the head and neck surgery with Professor Jatin Shah at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Her major clinical interests include head and neck cancer reconstruction, cleft surgery, microtia, and burn surgery.
In 2013, Dr. Ng was awarded the Hospital Authority Cooperated Scholarship for post-Fellowship training in head and neck and plastic reconstructive surgery. Her research contributions include securing the Tung Wah Research Fund for studies on HPV-related head and neck cancer and outcomes of partial glossectomy. Her interests focus on head and neck cancer reconstruction, cleft surgery, microtia, and burn management.
As a committed educator and clinician, Dr. Ng is a member of the Hospital Authority’s Plastic Surgery Sub-Specialty Group and The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong Plastic Surgery Board.
