Dr. Chang is currently Honorary Consultant in Clinical Oncology at Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital (HKSH), Co-Director of HKSH Proton Therapy Centre, Honorary Clinical Associate Professor, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of the Department of Clinical Oncology, School of Clinical Medicine, HKUMed. 

She obtained Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry at University of Chicago and obtained her medical degree from The University of Hong Kong in 2002. After internship, she was trained in Department of Clinical Oncology of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and Hong Kong College of Radiologists (2012) and worked as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Oncology, The University of Hong Kong.  During her service at the Hospital Authority and as an academic staff, she obtained the Hong Kong College of Radiologists Fellowship Grant to study advanced radiotherapy technique in Cambridge University, and was also trained at Medical University of Vienna.  She pioneered in MR-guided brachytherapy for cervix cancer in her institute, organized training workshops, and also led a multi-center research study as the principal applicant of the Government Health and Medical Research Fund (HMRF) on the clinical outcome of this advanced technology for cervix cancer patients.  She has joined HKSH since 2019 and continued her aspiration in the implementation of innovative radiotherapy techniques and research works.  She is dedicated in the set up and development of the Proton Therapy Service in the Hospital, the first in Hong Kong, the most cutting edge therapy that shows significant reduction of side effects of radiotherapy treatment compared to traditional X-ray based radiotherapy.  She and the HKSH team developed a training program with Mayo Clinic Arizona, USA, with ongoing efforts aiming to train all related staff for safe practice of the new technique.  She is recognized as a council member in various international radiotherapy groups such as the steering committee member for the Proton Particle Therapy Co-operative group (PTCOG), international committee council member of the American Brachytherapy Society, European Brachytherapy Group (GEC-ESTRO), and locally, honorary teaching positions in both HKU, CUHK and HKU-Shenzhen Hospital, with continue academic collaborations with various universities including The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
